Rosacea is a common skin condition that causes redness and visible blood vessels in your face. It may also produce small, red, pus-filled bumps.

These signs and symptoms may flare up for a period of weeks to months and then diminish for a while. Rosacea can be mistaken for acne, an allergic reaction or other skin problems. Rosacea can occur in anyone. But it most commonly affects middle-aged women who have fair skin.
According to WebMD, seven easily available items can help you reduce the effects of rosacea. Below is a list of 7 ways you can try to fight against rosacea and win.
1.Chamomile.
- Chamomile is a natural anti-inflammatory, so ‘‘Top 10 Home Remedies’’ recommends making a cold compress by placing 3 to 6 teabags in 3 cups of boiling water for 10 minutes.
- Remove the bags and put the tea in the refrigerator to chill. Once the tea is completely cold, soak a washcloth in the tea and wring it out.
- Place the cloth on the affected area for 15 minutes. Do this three to four times a day until you see an improvement.
2. Oatmeal.
- Another oldie but goodie, oatmeal is another anti-inflammatory and soothes the skin.
- ‘‘One Good Thing’’ says to take 1/2 cup of ground oats and mix it with 1/4 cup of water to make a paste.
- Put the paste on the rosacea and let it sit for 20 minutes before gently wiping off with a warm, wet cloth.
3. Licorice.
- Something in licorice root helps diminish the appearance of rosacea.
- ‘‘Home Remedy Central’’ combines 1 teaspoon licorice root and 1/2 cup aloe vera gel.
- Apply the mask to the face and leave it for 15 minutes. Wipe off with a warm, wet cloth.
4. Cucumber.
- You can make a soothing cucumber mask from 1 peeled, pureed cucumber and 1 egg white, blended together.
- Place the mask on your face for 30 minutes and then gently rinse it off.
5. Aloe vera.
- Aloe vera is excellent for hydrating the skin and healing burns and cuts. ‘
- ‘How to Remove that’’ recommends applying aloe vera gel straight on the affected skin twice a day.
6. Feverfew.
- Feverfew is not a topical remedy, but an oral one.
- This may take several months before you see any results, but it is supposed to help.
7. Maitake mushrooms.
- Dr. Weil’s Origins’ Plantidote is a topical serum that has proven to be beneficial in treating rosacea according to WebMD.
- It can be ordered online or bought in stores like Macy’s or JC Penny’s.
- Taking care of your skin can sometimes be a challenge.
- Add to it something like rosacea, and now the challenge seems impossible.
